Assistant Property Manager

In assistant property manager oversees the staff in the property manager’s absence. He or she works closely with both the resident relations manager and the leasing manager to achieve optimum occupancy. The assistant property manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to residents, future residents and internal team members. This individual maintains the bookkeeping for the community, disperses legal documentation, assists in the marketing efforts, assists in budget meetings/processes, and also contributes to the leasing process.
Basic responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting all residents, future residents and internal team members in a professional manner
- Keeping a high level of service in mind with every task while resolving conflict to benefit all concerned parties
- Advanced bookkeeping and clerical work
- Facilitating all aspects in the apartment leasing process
- Promoting positive resident relations
- Respecting the boundaries of confidentiality, fair housing laws and safety
- Planning and executing on site marketing and advertising directives
- Mentoring and training new leasing consultants
- Preparing month end reports
- outreach and market surveys.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2-3 years leasing experience
- Proven sales track record
- Knowledge of landlord/tenant laws
- Ability to multi-task
- Projection of a professional image by following dress code and appearance standards as set forth by the community
- 1-3 years in a management position
- Strong customer service background and skills
- Advanced typing and clerical skills
- Familiarity with AMSI, Yardi, Rent Roll, Yieldstar, MRI, &/or LRO
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent telephone skills
- A positive, upbeat attitude
- Analytical aptitude with a gift for numbers
- Great attention to detail
- Clean criminal background
